Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Marketing (SEM)
Content. Content. Content. One of the most important and often overlooked segments of a web site is its content. When we say content, we don’t mean pretty pictures, we mean WORDS. Having content that is relevant to your target audience will allow search engines to bring your website into Google, Yahoo and Bing in a human readable way.
Many site owners make assumptions about their audience in the content they publish. They speak to their visitors using vague terminology that sounds good when read out loud but neglects to reach out to their specific audience in terms of helping them find the information they need.
Making sure the content and page setup on your site is as descriptive as possible will result in hits on your site when someone uses a search engine to look for something. Bottom line: don’t say “candy bar” when you can say “Snickers.”
